A Few Questions…

Near the beginning it is useful to approach the curriculum from a perspective of questions. The questions ought to be about what really matters. The questions should provide a kind of structure or essence of what we believe about education. The point is not that we will reach common answers, not that we will agree on all the details, and not that we will find the Holy Grail of the curriculum. Rather, the point is that we will have at least asked the same important questions. The purpose of this chapter is to raise the key questions about the nature of the curriculum, who it involves and how. Why we approach it the way we do, its sense of purpose, and finally, what we hope to achieve through it.
