ABSTRACT

A well-constructed problem-based task builds a felt need for students to learn; it motivates them. The analytic rubric provides clearly articulated expectations. The next step is to consider how students will learn the concepts, skills, and content needed to complete the task. In a conventional setting, the teacher spends much of the time presenting information to students. In the Learner-Active, Technology-Infused Classroom, the students spend much of the time engaging in instructional activities, thus taking charge of their own

learning. Masterful teachers focus less on teaching and more on ensuring that all students learn.
