ABSTRACT

Many teachers may benefit from discussions of ideas and concerns gleaned from each chapter of Classroom Motivation from A to Z. If you are a facilitator or a member of a book club or study group, roundtable discussions of selected chapters can help fac ulty build on one another's ideas. This also helps establish or implement schoolwide initiatives as each teacher has input and ownership with the recommendations dis cussed. The ACT questions in this guide and the Think About It prompts for each chapter in Classroom Motivation from A to Zmay be completed individually, or they can be used for group discussions. However, please keep in mind that many of the questions ask teachers to analyze their own behaviors and practices with a critical eye; therefore, unless there is an atmosphere of trust in your group, some teachers may be less willing to share that information publicly.
