ABSTRACT

When you walk into a Passion-Driven Clubhouse Classroom for the first time, it might take a few minutes to take in the scene. Before you are twenty or more students organized into small learning clubs as they explore a variety of projects that take the place of traditional learning centers and seatwork. Over on the side of the room in a space designated as the Math Lab, a group of children work together on dry-erase boards to solve a challenging math problem. They record their thinking on chart paper to share later.
