Stress is something we hear a lot about these days. Stress is the body’s reaction to threatening situations and events. Thus, it is a biological state (Wheaton 1999).

Although social psychologists rarely measure stress itself, as a state of physiological arousal, they frequently measure the psychological and emotional consequences of stress on survey questionnaires.
