The Three Domains

The enquiring mind yearns for a universal theory – a way to make sense of the world. Most people, indeed, see the world through the lens of some theory, whether knowingly or not. Experience and observation can tell us when these theories are wrong, or at least when they are inadequate for the situation at hand. The most common mistake is to assume that a theory which holds true in one situation will similarly be applicable to all.
