ABSTRACT

At the end of this chapter, you should be able to:

• solve two simultaneous equations graphically • solve a quadratic equation graphically • solve a linear and simultaneous equation simultaneously by graphical means • solve a cubic equation graphically

Linear simultaneous equations in two unknowns may be solved graphically by:

(i) plotting the two straight lines on the same axes, and

(ii) noting their point of intersection. The co-ordinates of the point of intersection give the required solution.
