At the end of this chapter, you should be able to:

A set of numbers which are connected by a definite law is called a series or a sequence of numbers. Each of the numbers in the series is called a term of the series. For example, 1,3,5,7, . . . is a series obtained by adding 2 to the previous term, and 2,8,32,128, . . . is a sequence obtained by multiplying the previous term by 4
