ABSTRACT

As media servers evolve, more are beginning to offer methods for controlling the software without using a lighting console. These methods, either internally or via a separate application, open the door to a wider range of technicians who are not familiar with how to program a lighting console or who simply do not understand DMX, but who want to be able to take advantage of some of the real-time manipulation of video that media servers allow (e.g. layering a corporate logo over a moving image background).
