ABSTRACT

A new wind is blowing through American classrooms. This stiff breeze is dislodging the blinding cobwebs of male chauvinism, scattering the dusty female stereotypes of past days, and blowing closed forever the pages of sexist textbooks. This is fine. But what kinds of new teaching resources should be used to stimulate the minds and hearts of young students to investigate the historical and contemporary achievements of women?
