How Can the Results Be Maximized?
This chapter discusses on the results that were gathered with the original long form of the Patient Satisfaction Instrument for Pastoral Care (PSI). Itdevelops a shorter form which also gathered information concerning background characteristics. This short version comprised of patient responses from multiple hospitals. Ohio State University holds the copyright to both of these instruments and it was illegal to copy or use the instruments without permission. The Pastoral Care Department charged a permission-to-use fee which also entitled patients to a free analysis of first batch of returns in which the instrument will compare the patients scored to those of the other patients in the data bank. In all instances, analysis was limited to patient responses per year. Sample materials were available upon request.
