The phenomenal proliferation of Federal and state agency Web sites during the past few years is a win-win situation both for the government and the public it serves. In assuming the new role of electronic publisher, an agency can not only better fulfill its mission and increase its visibility to taxpayers, but also gain an increased appreciation of the value of its information to the public.
