ABSTRACT

The process involved in developing a new branch agriculture “electronic library” at the University of Manitoba is discussed. The goal was to have a facility which would be flexible enough to meet the evolving needs of the primary clientele while staffed by only one or two people. Consultation was extremely important. Once the location and services that would be offered were determined, the library was designed so that the location of the various areas within it and the relationship between these areas provided optimal functionality.
