ABSTRACT

Information technology in libraries directly influences undergraduate science education. A highly selective liberal arts college within an outstanding statewide consortium provides the framework for the transformation explored in this paper. The essential role of library as place is emphasized, given the collaborative nature of science, with a concurring commitment to virtual library services.
