ABSTRACT

This paper describes the libraxy/faculty liaison program at the Gerstein Science Information Centre at the University of Toronto and provides examples to show how it has created an environment where collaboration between librarians and faculty is encouraged and supported. The paper describes three separate initiatives where librarians worked closely with faculty to integrate customized information delivery into newly developed science and health science curricula. Collaboration makes it possible to customize information delivery consistent with student and faculty needs. Collaboration is a key factor in ensuring the value and relevance of library services.
