ABSTRACT

The author had absolutely no conscious idea about the course her life would soon take that she would become a radical feminist, divorce within six years, fall in love with and want to be with women. So, the decision facing Natalie and Kathryn is very different from the one she made. And, the childhood experiences her daughter Misty has had the devastation of divorce, life in two homes, two full-time working parents may not be at all comparable to the kind of life Natalie and Kathryn might provide. The author can say now is that life without Misty is simply unimaginable, and she would never want to deny another human being the opportunity of parenting because she happens to be a lesbian. While it would be foolish to deny the impact her lesbianism has had on Misty's life, nothing has had more impact than his capacity to love. The older Misty got, the more comfortable she became with his lifestyle.
