ABSTRACT

The main strategy process in Poland is the National Environmental Policy of 1990, which was prepared by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Natural Resources and Forestry (PolMEP, 1990) and was accepted by the Polish Parliament in 1991. The same ministry has also prepared an Implementation Plan to Year 2000 (PolMEP, 1994a). Other related activities include the report to the Commission for Sustainable Development on Poland’s implementation of Agenda 21; and the Regional Environmental Action Programme of Central and Eastern Europe (REC, 1994).
