ABSTRACT

The number of international teams is growing rapidly as compa nies reorganize to compete in the global marketplace. The influence of different cultures makes interpersonal interaction in the team more complicated than within teams of one nationality. It affects the way the team works together, especially if the team is spread out across different countries. Each team is unique. High performance cannot be captured in a ready-made formula for creating synthesis among imaginary French, Japanese, Taiwanese, and Russian team members. High performance is created through channeling the forces at play.
