A computer equipped with sound editing software has become known as a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW), people can download some of them for free, or perhaps like Garage Band one came pre-installed on the new computer. The most popular professional editing programs of the moment are Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, and Sound Forge Pro. Sometimes people can download a trial version for a brief review period, which is a great way to see if you like it or not. Audacity can add several different types of tracks to a project, other than ones import via the file menu. One of them is label track, which is used to place markers on the timeline. People can't cut and paste sounds into a label track. Its only function is to contain the labels that mark points in the timeline that people have chosen. Stereo track opens a pair of tracks that are linked together, and that must be edited together.
