This chapter considers both how companies learn and also how individuals learn in the contexts of performance and change. The purpose of a commercial enterprise is to achieve a fi nancial return for its shareholders while providing a variety of benefi ts for all its stakeholders including suppliers, customers, employees, and even the public at large.
