ABSTRACT
Putting a verb in Arabic into the future is a simple matter of using either of
two particles, َفْوَس and ـَس, in front of a verb in the present indicative tense. These “auxiliary” elements are the same in singular, dual or plural verbs. The
negative of a verb in the future requires ْنَل followed by the subjunctive.
