ABSTRACT
Beta blockers are drugs that are used to treat a wide variety of clinical conditions, primarily associated with the cardiovascular system. Some of the more peripheral pharmacological properties of beta blockers, such as reducing anxiety and hand tremor, are used by some athletes to enhance performance. These potential enhancing effects only apply to a small number of sports.
