ABSTRACT

A meeting of the members of the above society was held at Winchester House, Old Broad Street, E.C., on the 6th inst, and the meeting was also open to ell members of the Institute. Mr. Frederick Whinney, F.C.A., occupied the chair, end there were present, Messrs. J. W. Blackburn, J. C. Bolton, Arthur Cooper, W. C. Jackson, G. W. Knox, G. B. Monkhouse, Adam Murray, F. W. Pixley, J. J. Saffery, (Vice-President of the Institute), T. G. Shuttleworth, G. Tan de Linde, T. A. Walton, and many others. Mr. Ernest Cooper on being called upon read the following paper:—
