ABSTRACT

You will recall that we began this book by introducing the theme of change, and gave a substantial range of dimensions in which change is taking place. Indeed, most of this book has been about managing change of one sort or another – recruiting new staff, looking at innovative ways in which people's jobs can be improved, managing changes in individual and group behaviour, leading the changing processes that teams go through, managing people's development, coping with changes in people's working lives, right through to the changes in employment law that featured in the previous chapter.
