ABSTRACT
Corps history Tha origins of the Small Arms School Corps can be found in the School of Musketry created in 1854 and in 1919 redesignated the Small Arms School. In 1919 a Machine Gun School was also formed, and in 1923 the two became the Corps of Small Arms and Machine Gun Schools. In 1929 the two schools were combined as the Small Arms School Corps.
