ABSTRACT

§ I. Here are some Persons, who, being for advanced in Age, have not sufficient Time remaining for a perfect Cure; and others, in whom the Disease is so deeply rooted, by a bad Constitution, derived to them from their Parents, that they are not capable of a total Cure; and both these must be contented to submit to the Orders of Providence, and make the best of their Misfortunes, retting satisfied with a Partial or Palliative Cure, and relieving the Symptoms as they arise. But those who are in better Circumstances, will have better Success, by following with Patience and Perseverance, the Directions here to be laid down.
