ABSTRACT

Regrets are a source of unhappiness and stress. When we regret, we recognise that we have made errors in the past. Some of these errors we are really responsible for, in the sense that, with a little more self-control, with an exercise of reasonable judgement, we would not have made those errors. Some of them however were not really our responsibility, in the sense that our best judgement at the moment would have led us to the same decisions, or we simply did not have the information to make an informed choice. But the decision has been made; what has been done has been done.
