ABSTRACT
With the l.f., m.f. and h.f. broadcasting bands over-full the B.B.C. had to look to the higher frequencies, and in particular to the 87-5 MHz100 MHz band which was allocated to broadcasting but was virtually empty. Towards the end of World War II the matter was being given active consideration.
