A peripatetic teacher would wander forth, stay as a guest for a month in one tribal encampment, and conduct intensive lessons for all that desired instruction. He would then be given food and water for himself and his horse or camel sufficient to last him as far as the next encampment, where he would carry on the same procedure as before.
