ABSTRACT
In our concept system, information is a class concept of the highest order. It is, therefore, impossible to use the method of “class plus specific difference” to define information. We can only use “descriptive method” to define it, that is, describing its attributive characters and functions to differentiate it from such parallel class concepts as field, energy, matter and consciousness.
