ABSTRACT
The purpose of the case studies is to explore work-based learning by discovering what those in employment experienced when they attempted to gain a higher education qualification. The case studies are individual narratives with minimum guidance on the issues discussed. This chapter extracts from the narrative the important observations grouped into issues. These are then discussed in the summary and conclusion.
