ABSTRACT
Grave circumstances have the potential to cost the EPC contractor far more money than its expected profit. EPC contractors often attempt to limit their overall liability to owners and not just their liability for liquidated damages for delays in completion and poor performance of facilities (as was discussed in Chapter 17).
