ABSTRACT

Researchers in psychology have looked at how people experience the existence of uncertainty. One factor causing this difference of accepting uncertainty was the perception of controlling the situation and the uncertainty inherent to it. Uncertainty may be experienced as insecurity. They are not always inclined to get to know someone better and reduce our perceived uncertainty and experienced insecurity. Another positive feeling that is connected to uncertainty is trust. This chapter discusses the Anticipatory emotions encode a summary of what we see as the possible consequences of an action or inaction. It explains the Research says we tend to feel some degree of anxiety because we are not able to predict how this person may act or react to us. The chapter explains the psychoanalytic types of people who are more closed minded because they possess cognitive belief systems that are oriented towards familiar and predictable events.
