ABSTRACT
The different uncertainty types are the ingredients macaroni and cheese and the organisational responses to these different uncertainty types are the different cooking methods boiling in water and grating. Servitized manufacturers also face relational uncertainty. Crises like the Arab Spring cause high levels of uncertainty for organisations with regard to the future of their business. The final uncertainty type in this chapter is environmental uncertainty that arising from the organisation's context and market environment. The organisation exists within its context: the industrial sector, the specific market environment, suppliers, customers and so on. This chapter discusses the Projects are time-constraint types of "mini-organisations" within the organisation. Organisation's complexity is higher and subsequently the uncertainty it has to deal with is also higher. Some organisations may work predominantly in contracts or contractual arrangements. The contractual arrangement you have with your electricity provider does not have a specific end goal after which your agreement ends.
