The chapter explains the role of sanctification in Discourse on the Holy Spirit, and discusses Owen's work Justification by Faith. It explores the Summa Theologiae, Thomas writes, Here, Aquinas is following Aristotle very closely, particularly in Nicomachean Ethics, where Aristotle defines the end of human actions in distinction to that of beasts. The chapter presents regeneration in Discourse on the Holy Spirit will be examined. Owen deals with infused habits first in his section on regeneration. After explaining the role that the Holy Spirit possesses in the new creation, Owen continues, explaining that this principle which is implanted in the work of regeneration is not a work of moral reformation of life.
