There are Moorish merchants here in very great numbers. The king of this place [Dabuli] is a pagan; and possesses about thirty thousand fighting men, but according to the manner o f Cevul before mentioned. This king is also a very great observer of justice. The country, the mode of living, the dress, and the customs, re­ semble those of the aforesaid city of Cevul.
