ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the key concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book discusses a series of research questions. A key point of debate has been the validity of these services. There is considerable criticism of them by liturgical theologians. The book explains a network of intertextual links between the denominations. It examines the development of local theology. It rejects such a bipolar position pointing out a rich variety of strategies and liturgical resources for the present context, which is a shortage of priests in a complex situation of pastoral reorganization. The book focuses on Extended Communion that there are positions to be challenged. It demonstrates the significance of liturgical practice as a location of theoretical development. The book also focuses on the Archdeaconry of Berkshire in the Diocese of Oxford based on a small-scale qualitative research project.
