ABSTRACT
There are broadly three stages to organisational alliance maturity: opportunistic, systematic and endemic. These three stages are almost always sequential, but there are certain circumstances in which some companies choose not to progress to the next stage, although there are no known instances of companies using a step-through strategy by missing out a stage. We will consider the three stages in order.
