ABSTRACT

The Teachers role is to provide psychological content. Organisational Development work is not solely about process. One company where there was an elevation in functioning in managers was a company based in UK. This was a long-standing client where two managers who were the author immediate or primary clients sought to have a constant stream of transfer of teaching from him to the other managers. The faculty of the Economics Department knew nothing about Industrial Relations and gave the author the thesis topic so they would learn more. A Teacher has to include role modeling as part of their skills set. It is impossible for a Teacher to be taken seriously if their behaviour is too much at variance with what they speak about. It is the role of Teacher to lead managers toward an understanding of their organisations psychological reality. One task of the Teacher is to create a concept of the organisation that is consistent with psychological reality.
