ABSTRACT
The object of this study is to present and comment upon the steps taken under the Hospitaller Masters Philibert de Naillac and Antoni de Fluvià, between 1420 and 1433, which were intended to reassess and modify previous rules concerning the knightly or noble origins of the knight brothers prior to their reception into the Order. Such a subject requires some preliminary comments on the former regulations.
