ABSTRACT
Hugo Grotius’ De Iure Praedae Commentarius [Commentary on the Law of Prize and Booty] served as evidence put forward by Professor N.J. Schrijver, agent of the Government of Malaysia on 16 November 2007, in the case between Malaysia and Singapore at the International Court of Justice concerning Sovereignty over Pedra Branca/Pulau Batu Puteh, Middle Rocks and South Ledge.1
