ABSTRACT

This volume has explored the performance, strengths and limitations, and division of labour emerging during the first five years of coexistence between the Group of Eight (G8) and the Group of 20 (G20). It has examined their evolving relationship and involvement with the BRICS group of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, as well as with civil society and multilateral organizations. It considers how the future partnership between the G20 and the Group of Seven (G7) or G8 can be improved to their benefit and for the global community as a whole.
