ABSTRACT

In addition to public documents released by the G20 summits and ministerial and other sub-summit bodies (which are discussed in Chapter 9), there are other important information sources about the G20. This chapter highlights and analyses several types of such sources: think-tanks, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and business groups focusing on the G20; memoirs of prominent former G20 participants; writings about the role of member countries and regions; and websites and social media. The chapter also gives a brief account of academic theses and dissertations, and creative works dealing with the G7, G8 and G20. Contributions by international governmental organizations are covered in Chapter 4 and Chapter 9. The problem of archival research related to the G20 is discussed in Chapter 9.
