ABSTRACT

In this final chapter we look at ways in which the Compliance function and those professionals working within it can be further enabled to better perform and achieve the objectives of their roles, ways in which their activities and approach could be leveraged to good effect allowing both businesses and regulators to more effectively harness the available skills and expertise of these professionals to wider betterment. In doing so, we will consider how the operational Compliance function and Compliance professionals themselves can provide more value in their roles, allowing them to contribute more effectively to the management of risk within organisations and within the wider business environment, demonstrating that it is to the advantage not only of those organisations to do so, but beyond.
