ABSTRACT

This chapter combines general background material and practical exercises – all easily facilitated by any teacher – to explore and consider issues related to culture and education. The focus is on how these issues may impact on a class of international students. In addition, it provides an overview of the relationship between individual, group and the class as a whole from cross-cultural and group dynamics perspectives. Throughout, it offers practical exercises at individual, small group and class levels, aimed at generating experiential learning of value to both students and their teachers.
