ABSTRACT

When in Paris, Suzanne worked almost every day at her profession as a plastic surgeon, maneuvering adeptly through a male-dominated profession. In addition, she performed demonstrations on plastic surgery techniques throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States, while also initiating new chapters of Soroptimist International. Suzanne traveled extensively during her adult life in a period when travel was still largely confined to trains and boats. According to Jacquemin, she crossed the Atlantic fourteen times and was often celebrated and presented with flowers upon her arrival in countries around the world.
