ABSTRACT

Crave Coffeehouse, Urban Abbey, and Rohs Street Café represent three American, non-profit coffee shops located in the cities of St. Louis, Omaha, and Cincinnati respectively. The strategic goals and outcomes of these small businesses help demonstrate that sustainability, as it relates to social entrepreneurship, can have a variety of connotations and interpretations. More specifically, literature suggests that sustainable entrepreneurship has implications related to the buildings where businesses are housed, the places where clients and customers gather, and the neighborhoods where businesses reside.
