ABSTRACT

This chapter gives information about the surviving work in healthcare website set up with the Tavistock and Portman National Health Service (NHS) foundation trust in 2016. This website offers a series of videos, podcasts and guidebooks designed specifically for health workers. Workers can download short podcasts and guides onto their smartphone, and it is all absolutely free. The chapter introduces the surviving work library – an archive of anonymous stories of how people survive work. It describes a list of campaigning and information sites on healthcare and then some guides on where to get information on discrimination and raising concerns. The chapter also gives the legal responsibilities of employers against harassment, bullying and discrimination at work. It provides some short introductions on how to raise a concern and setting up an action learning set. There is always a need to return to processes that help us build relationships at work and prepare us for the future workplace realities in healthcare.
