ABSTRACT

There are so many flavors of supply chain visibility that at times it can seem we are in error to group them together. Several practitioner interviewees spoke of the duality in visibility solutions, that they are unique in implementation but consistent in principles (see Appendix A for full transcripts). As an example, one interviewee noted:

There is also the important differentiation, even within an industry, of how each company tries to position itself against the competition. Costleaders will approach visibility completely differently from a fashion or service leader, for example (Karel, Appendix A).
