I) According to Brosset, (HG, Vol. II/i, p. 635) Taymuraz (T eymuras) was sixteen years old when he was crowned King of Kakheti in 1605. He had a chequered career and was a leading personality in Caucasian politics during the first six decades of the seventeenth century.
